Financial education

Markets make sense once someone shows you the mechanics.

HillTop Worldwide Investment publishes plain-language explainers, live market data, and tools that let you test an idea with your own numbers before anyone asks you for money.

Markets

The instruments, live.

Forex majors, two US indices, and the largest cryptocurrencies. Use the chart to look at any one of them properly, then read the explainers to work out what you are looking at.

New to this?

A currency pair is a ratio, not a price on its own. Start with the explainer, then come back and watch a pair move.

Tools

What compounding does to your money.

Set a starting amount, a contribution, a rate, and a term. The chart splits the result into what you paid in and what growth added — the part most projections hide.

Illustrative only. This is a mathematical projection, not a forecast, offer, or guarantee of any return. It excludes fees, taxes, and market volatility.

How this is calculated

Growth is applied period by period at your chosen compounding frequency. Contributions are spread evenly across those periods and added at the end of each one — the conservative convention, known as an ordinary annuity. The real-terms figure divides the closing balance by inflation compounded over the same term.

What it does not model: fees, taxes, the sequence in which returns actually arrive, or any change to your contribution over time. A steady annual rate is a convenient fiction. Real markets deliver the same average through a very different path, and the path matters if you need to withdraw money along the way.

Every set of inputs has its own link. Change a value and the address bar updates, so you can share the exact scenario you are looking at.

Training

A course that teaches the mechanics, not a system.

Five modules covering how markets are built, how instruments are priced, and how risk and compounding behave over time. No signals, no tips, and no claims about what you will earn.

Enrolment opens soon. Registering adds you to the list — nothing is charged.

What is covered

  1. How markets are put together

Exchanges, brokers, spreads, and who is on the other side of your order. What a price actually represents.

  2. Reading instruments

Currency pairs, index CFDs, and cryptocurrencies. Base and quote, pips, lot sizes, and why the same move means opposite things in different pairs.

  3. Compounding and time

Why the term matters more than the rate, how fees compound against you, and what inflation does to a long projection.

  4. Risk before return

Position sizing, leverage, and the arithmetic of drawdown — why a 50% loss needs a 100% gain to recover.

  5. Building a plan you can keep

Writing rules down in advance, reviewing them on a schedule, and recognising the decisions that are emotional rather than analytical.

Questions

Is this financial advice?
No. The course is educational. It does not recommend specific investments, and nothing in it is tailored to your circumstances.
Will it tell me what to buy?
No. There are no signals, no tips, and no model portfolio. The aim is that you can evaluate those things yourself.
Do you publish past returns?
No. Performance claims are the most misleading thing an education business can put in front of you, so we do not make any.
What do I need before starting?
Nothing beyond arithmetic. Everything else is built up from the beginning.

Insights

Explainers, not tips.

How the mechanics work, written to be understood the first time. Nothing here recommends a trade or a product.

About

Start local, finish global.

HillTop Worldwide Investment publishes financial education for people who were never taught this at school and are tired of being sold to instead of taught.

What we do

We write explainers, publish live market data, and build tools that let you test an idea with your own numbers. The material is free. The training course covers the same ground in order, with worked examples, for people who would rather follow a structured path than assemble one.

What we do not do

We do not manage money, recommend investments, publish trading signals, or make claims about returns. If you are looking for someone to tell you what to buy, this is not that. The point of the material is that you end up able to answer that question yourself — and able to recognise when someone answering it for you has an interest in the answer.

Where the money comes from

The training course is paid. We also refer businesses to partner services and receive a commission when a referral is taken up. Wherever that applies it is disclosed on the page making the offer, not buried in the terms.

Still to come

  • Founder biography, background, and photograph
  • Professional credentials and registrations, with registration numbers
  • Registered business address and operating jurisdiction

These carry most of the credibility on a site like this, so they are worth doing properly rather than quickly.
